audio visual | what is conferencing | equipmensts used

Conference means when two or more people come together or share the information its called as conferencing .

Conferences can be face-to-face affairs. A salesman attends a trade show to pitch his product to hundreds of potential clients.
* There are may types of conferencing *

1> Teleconferencing.
2> Videoconferencing.
3> Web conferencing.

First we see the TELECONFERENCING ....... !

If you ever use a three way phone call you've already teleconferenced. There are two types of conference call.1(Meet-Me)& 2(Ad-Hoc).
Meet-Me :-Meet-Me conferencing requires participants to call a special phone number on a given day and time and enter an access code to join the teleconference.
Ad-Hoc :-conferencing requires a moderator to call each of the attendees individually and connect them together.

Teleconferencing has endless applications in the business world, from large corporate conference calls for shareholder earnings reports to four salesmen in four different cubicles discussing a new product.
Teleconferencing advantages are that the technology is familiar to anyone who uses a phone, it's easy to set up, and it offers good audio interactivity for small groups. Its disadvantages are that it greatly limits collaboration and interaction for larger groups, and that audio-only presentations are often less engaging to attendees.

Know we see the VIDEOCONFERENCING ....... !

This is the simplest form of videoconferencing, where the presenter appears on the screens of all the attendees in a small Web cam video window. For small groups, some software programs offer the "Brady Bunch" effect, in which all of the attendees appear on the screen in separate Web cam windows.

There is a difference, however, between this simple form of videoconferencing and what are known as Web casts. Web casts are professional-quality online video presentations, usually for larger groups and with less interactivity between participants.

audio visual | audio equipments ,speaker

In audio conferencing input source is mic .but the main out put source is speaker and without speaker audio conferencing is not possible . There are many types of speakers used in audio conferencing witch are ........... !First we must know that How speakers work ? the basic mechanism of speaker.

Speakers are air pistons that move back (on the negative cycle of the signal) and forth (on the positive cycle), creating different degrees of air pressure at different frequencies. The amplifier (either separate or built-in your radio), produces electrical impulses that alternate from positive and negative voltages (AC). This current reaches the voice coil inside the speaker, creating an electro-magnet that will either be repelled, or attracted by the fixed magnet at the bottom of the speaker. The voice coil is attached to the cone, moving it back and forth, creating sound. The surround (rubbery circle that joins top of the cone and metal basket) and the spider (usually yellow corrugated circle joining bottom of cone to magnet) make the cone return to its original position.

Speaker Sensitivity, measured in dB, is how loud a speaker plays (usually 1 Watt, 1 meter). A higher Sensitivity rating means that the speaker will play louder using the same power as a speaker with a lower rating.

The back and front parts of the speaker should be isolated from each other। When the front of the cone is pushing air, the bottom is pulling air, creating a canceling effect. Ideally every speaker should be in an enclosure. If you are mounting a speaker in a big hole, make sure you build a panel to isolate the front and back of the speaker (baffle).
